David R. Larkin Sr.

March 16, 1963 — August 10, 2025

These words cannot convey a lifetime of lessons and love, nor can they describe the impact he had on his family and his community. With that being said we will do our best to describe a man of great wisdom and continued enduring faith.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of David Richard Larkin, a man whose life was a testament to the quiet strength of humility, the steady hand of righteousness, and the gentle warmth of kindness. He walked through this world with a presence that was felt as much as it was seen, never seeking the spotlight, yet becoming the very light in the lives of all who knew him. Dave passed on August 10th 2025 at his home surrounded by love, after a hard fought battle with Stomach Cancer.

He was born March 16th 1963 in Pittsfield Massachusetts. He is one of nine siblings, Son to Marjorie and Richard Larkin, and leaves behind a wife Tina Larkin with whom he adored with his every breath, a loving son, a wonderful daughter in-law, an amazing set of grandkids and a very large loving extended family. But Dave was a father to many, whether by blood, bond, or the simple generosity of his heart. Dave gave freely of his time, his wisdom, and his love. He was the man you called when you needed guidance, the friend you turned to when life grew heavy, and the joyful spirit who reminded you to laugh even in life’s darkest trials and tribulations. Dave found a way to find hope and grace in the worst of times and enjoyed spending moments with his family most of all.

His love for Tina was the kind of love that does not fade with time, but grows deeper and more enduring with each shared moment. Together, they built not only a life but a living example of devotion, inspiring all who watched how to love and be loved in the truest sense. Their bond inspired others to follow a path marked by virtue, respect, and the quiet joy of shared purpose.

Dave spent many years as a project manager working in construction and had a hand on many projects throughout the capital region. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, kayaking, and hiking. He was a huge Giants fan and even liked the Boston Red Sox. He always had a project going on at the Homefront and enjoyed teaching anyone who showed an interest in learning.

Dave's legacy is not measured in accolades (although there are many), but in the countless lives he touched, each carrying forward a piece of his warmth, his integrity, and his unwavering belief in the goodness of others. Though he has left this earthly place, his example remains, a guiding star for those who knew him and those who will come to know him through the many , often goofy, stories we share.

Dave will be greatly missed, he will be buried in Calvary Cemetery (Bethlehem NY) where visitors can pay their respects.
