David C. Gustafson

David Gustafson passed away suddenly on January 17, 2026 at his home in Scotia, NY.

He was born May 27, 1957 in Paramus, New Jersey to the late Janet and Carl Gustafson. He graduated from Paramus High School in 1975, and attended Bergen Community College obtaining an associates degree.

David lived in Maywood, NJ, before moving up to Scotia in 2022. He was employed at Hackensack Meridian Medical Center in New Jersey for over 30 years. He was a chef in the main kitchen. In addition he worked in the Childcare Center kitchen.

David enjoyed spending time in the Adirondacks with friends.

He is survived by his sister Ellen and his nephew Keith Smollin.

A memorial will be planned for May in New Jersey to celebrate his life.
