East Greenbush - Daniel Joseph Bradley Jr. (Joe)

Joe Bradley of East Greenbush passed away Friday, August 9, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was born on March 18, 1928 to Carrie Salsgiver (Bradley) and Daniel Joseph Bradley Sr. (both predeceased) in Antes Fort, PA. He worked for New York Central Railroad and Sterling Winthrop Research Institute for 43 years.

In his younger years, he was a member of the Sherwood Park Fire Company, American Legion, and was a coach for the East Greenbush Babe Ruth Baseball League. He was a World War II era veteran. He enlisted in the Navy in 1946 at the age of 17. He served in Germany and England. Later, he became a member of Mount Vernon Lodge No. 3, F. & A. M., Cyprus Shriners, Oriental Shriners, Scottish Rite, Royal Order of the Jesters, Kachina Club, Vigilant Lodge 699 IOOF-Castleton, Evangeline Rebekah Lodge 26, and Past Master Independent Order of the Odd Fellows (2002-2003). During this time, he had the honor of laying the Wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Joe was also a member of the Melvin Roads American Legion Post 1231, Masonic War Veterans of New York, and Post 7466 Veterans of Foreign Wars (lifetime member).

He is predeceased by his wife of 74 years, Roberta Bradley. He is survived by his brothers Robert Bradley and Norm Bradley, his sister Meta Willis, his two daughters, Gail Bradley and Robin Bradley, his two sons, Scott Bradley and Jed Bradley (Sue), his grandchildren, Naomi Garner (Mark Sr.), James Casey (Melissa), Amber Bell (Jeff), Taniva Bradley, and Kyleigh Bradley, and his great-grandchildren, Mark Garner Jr., Matthew Garner, Samantha Garner, Cody Casey, Christopher Casey, Aiden Casey, Victoria Morin, Abigail Huggins and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation hours will be held Tuesday, August 13th from 2- 3pm followed by a Masonic ceremony 3 - 3: 15 pm and Methodist service 3:15 pm - 4 pm, at New Comer Cremations & Funerals - Latham, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd., Watervliet, NY; Wednesday, August 14th, Graveside 11:30 am, at Memory  Gardens, 983 Watervliet Shaker Rd., Albany, NY.
