Schenectady_Dale J. Pegler, 79, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 29, 2016 at his home.
He was born on January 27, 1937, son of the late James and Agnes (Lemanski) Pegler in Milwaukee, WI. On February 7, 1986 he was married to his wife Sandra. They raised their family in Schenectady. Dale retired from Bethlehem Steel where he worked as a Sales and Service Manager. After his retirement he worked part time at Hertz in Albany.
Dale was a member of St. Gabriel's Roman Catholic Church where he was an active participant in the men's group. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus of the capital district. Dale was a devoted husband and father, he enjoyed being involved with his children in their school activities. He was always happiest spending time at home, working in the yard and being with his family.
Dale is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Pegler; his children, Richard Pegler, Judith Case, Andrew Pegler and Matthew Pegler; 5 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild; his sister, Margaret Folenta and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2016 from 5-7 pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd.,Colonie, New York. A Mass of Christian Burial for Dale will be held on Friday, March 4, 2016 at 11:30 am at St. Gabriel the Archangel Church, 3040 Hamburg St., Schenectady, NY 12303. Graveside services will immediately follow Mass on Friday at St. Mary's Cemetery.
