Constance Marie Cockfield, 93, of Albany, peacefully passed away at home after a brief illness on Friday, May 5, 2017.
Connie was born in Cabin Creek, West Virginia to the late Edward and Iona Fuller. Connie was educated in Cabin Creek, WV and attended Virginia State University in Petersburg, Virginia.
Connie enjoyed a successful career in fashion retail. She held the position of Fashion Buyer and later served as the Fashion Coordinator for Flah's, of Albany, New York, ending her career in retail at Macy's New York.
In her free time Connie enjoyed working in her flower and vegetable gardens, sporting events and games, and spending time with her family.
Connie had a real zest for life and will missed by all whose lives she touched.
Her husband Herman M. Cockfield Sr., preceded her in death. Connie is survived by her four children, Herman M. Cockfield, Jr., Donna Cockfield, Deborah Pendleton and Kym Cockfield; twelve grandchildren, and many great grandchildren.
The funeral service will commence at 12 noon on Friday, May 12, from New Comer Funerals & Cremations, 343 New Karner Rd, Colonie. Interment will follow in the Gerald B.H. Solomon – Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville. Calling hours will precede the service from 10 a. m. - 12 p.m. at the funeral home.
