Christopher Daniel Reith was tragically taken from us on September 15, 2025. He was the beloved son of Mark Christopher Reith and Lorraine Meloro Reith, and younger brother to Michael Reith.
Born on Aug. 2, 2000, Chris grew up in Latham, New York. From a very young age, he always had a thrill for life and loved adventure. He enjoyed snowboarding, jet skiing, flying drones, and riding motorcycles.
At just 10-years-old, Chris found the passion of his life — waterskiing. He quickly grew into an advanced, professional-level skier where he could often be seen skiing barefoot, long jumping and other complex tricks. He began skiing with X-Squad Waterski Show Team in Scotia and later joined the Electric City Water Ski Show Team, performing in many shows at Jumpin’ Jack’s in Scotia. He also competed at the regional level, earning numerous awards and accolades.
Chris was a student of Shaker High School’s Class of 2018 and went on to attend Modern Welding School in Schenectady. After graduation, he worked as a welder while he planned his own startup business in 3D printing. He was very talented at creating prototypes for objects to print that could be used for both entertainment and problem-solving. He printed everything from swords for planters to replacement parts for water skis.
Chris will be remembered for his amazing smile, his sense of adventure, and his love for his family, friends, and his cherished rescue cat, Caster.
Chris is survived by his father, Mark Reith; stepmother, Kate Fahey; his mother, Lorraine Meloro Reith; stepfather, Richard Edwards; his brother, Michael Reith and his wife, Coral; his stepbrother, Ryan Cummings; his paternal grandfather, Lawrence Meloro; his uncles, Brian, Ricky, Nick, and John; his aunts, Deborah, Deonah, and Lisa; and many more relatives and friends who loved him deeply.
