Christopher R. Klemfuss, 65 of Huntington Station and Albany, NY beloved husband passed away peacefully at home after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Having his loving wife and friends by his side.
Born March 8, 1960 in Huntington, NY and was the son of the late Richard B. Klemfuss and Doris Paez.Christopher began his career with New York State in 1978. He worked in various supervisory positions and retired from NYS Dept. of Health after 37 ½ years, a health Representative III specializing in Tuberculosis throughout New York State. Christopher was highly respected as a professional by his colleagues.
Christopher’s greatest passion was music. He played trumpet, but guitar was his love through out life. He enjoyed getting together with family and friends, especially if they could have a “Jam session”. He was gifted with an ear, which enabled him to pick up any type of music, and pick up his guitar to play a song.
His spirit was gentle, kind, and loving to all, who knew him and to those who did not. He loved animals, especially cats, he was the “ best” and most loving “Cat Dad” of his predeceased orange tabby ALEX BOY!
Christopher is predeceased by his sister in-law Denise Echausse/Garcia.
He is survived by his wife Claire E. Klemfuss, his sister Lyle Marie Gerbracht and her husband William, his sister Robin Millan and her husband Hector Millan, sister in law Jeanne Echausse, brother in law Edward Echausse. He was a cherished uncle to Grady Gerbracht and Jason Garcia.
