Christopher J. Burg

Christopher Joseph Burg, 51, beloved brother and loved by many, passed away in April 2026.

Christopher was born in Albany then moved to Schenectady where he lived the majority of his adult life until his passing. Christopher had an infectious spirit and he lit up a room wherever he went. He had many friends, and wherever he traveled throughout the Schenectady downtown area. He was always met by someone he knew.

Christopher leaves behind his family members to cherish his memory which include his sister, Donna Maria Burg (Robert D. Dutko), Stacey Ann Burg, his brother, George Thomas Burg; his aunts, Georgia L Mitchell and Denise J. Ertel; his niece, Alisha Lyn Bellualdo Day; his cousins, Marie A. Mitchell, Barbara J. Mitchell and Maureen A. Nellegar

Christopher’s family would like to give special thanks to the downtown and Center area of Schenectady for all of the love and care that you all have shown Chris from day one until his last day.

He will truly be missed, but we hope to see him again one fine day.

A visitation will be held from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Friday, May 15, 2026 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet, NY 12189.
