Chip Adalian

August 26, 1971 — June 27, 2025

Charles Adalian, 53, known to all as “Chip,” passed away on Friday, June 27, 2025 at Ellis Hospital after a series of unexpected medical complications. . He was surrounded by his four beautiful daughters.

Chip was born on August 26, 1971 in Albany, NY. He was a multi-sport student-athlete who graduated from Clayton A. Bouton High School in Voorheesville, NY. He later took up permanent residence in Guilderland, NY where he began a family of his own. Chip worked for a small handful of employers over the span of 3+ decades, putting his construction and management skills to excellent use. His most recent place of employment was at the Towers of Colonie where he was lucky enough to have many colleagues he considered friends.

Chip loved his time on the golf course, especially getting in a round with his daughter, Evelyn, or simply hitting some shots with her on the driving range. Many weekends, Chip could be found fishing on the lake with his best friend, Brian, trying to reel in that big bass he always seemed to just miss. He was an avid fan of just about any sport but was dedicated and loyal to the Celtics, the Syracuse Orange, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the Boston Red Sox (even though his daughter, Addison, was strongly opposed as a Yankees fan). More than anything, Chip enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. Time with his family at celebrations, holidays, and backyard bbq’s was always filled with laughter, loud conversation, and joy.

Chip is survived by many loving family members, but most importantly he is survived by his four incredible daughters; Alexandra (17), Addison (16), Evelyn (15), and Elena (11) of Guilderland, NY. Chip’s daughters were his world and he was their hero. He was their biggest fan at countless dance recitals (both on the stage and in the living room), played catch in the yard thousands of times, made their favorite dinners, willingly watched Disney movies on repeat, and was always there when they needed him most. His daughters will forever remember looking for shark teeth and building sandcastles while visiting the ocean. Each holiday season, they’ll relive memories of how he made the neighborhood shine from the glow of his Christmas light display. For years to come, they’ll fondly recall the times spent in Disney World in the blazing heat of August with the best Disney-Dad a girl could ask for. More than these holidays or vacations, they will hold dear the memories of a father who always remained loving, calm, understanding, compassionate, and attentive during the twists and turns of their childhood years.

Chip will forever hold a special place in the hearts of many and will be missed beyond what words could possibly express.
