Charlotte E. McLasky

Charlotte E. (Woodbeck) McLasky, 78, of Rotterdam, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

A lifelong resident of New York’s Capital Region, Charlotte was born in Schenectady to the late Elmer and Ethel (Blanchard) Woodbeck. She devoted her life to her family and took great pride in being a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister.

Charlotte is survived by her six children: Kimberly Clute, Mark Clute (Angi), John Clute (Annalisa), Charlene Olsen (Kurt), Cynthia McLasky (Jamie), and Michael McLasky (Amanda).

She was the proud grandmother of Jonathan, Chazz, Michael, Jenna, Alyssa, Karah, Bridgette, Isabella, Julia, Kimberly, Dylan, Jordan, Shea, Chase, and Logan — and a cherished great-grandmother to many.

Charlotte is also survived by her beloved sister, Frances Sheldon (Roger).

Her warmth, strength, and unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.

Services will be held on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 from 11am-1pm with a service to immediately follow at New Comer Cremations and Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie, NY 12205. Interment will be held at St. Cyril and Method Cemetery, 611 Duanesburg Rd, Rotterdam, NY 12306 afterward.
