ALBANY - Charles "Chuckie" J. Severino, Jr., 60, passed away on Friday, October 14, 2016 at St. Peter's Hospital, following open heart surgery. He was surrounded by his loving family.
Chuckie was born on September 19, 1956 in Albany and was the son of the late Charles J. and Ruth E. (Morrison) Severino. He owned and operated Walsh and Severino Auto Sales in Schenectady for over 10 years and later worked for Langan Chrysler Jeep as used car sales manager and then moved onto Northway Toyota where he was used car sales manager and work along side his brother, Peter. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, tinkering with cars, and helping and chairing meetings with his NA family.
Chuckie is survived by his loving and devoted son, Michael J. Severino, his cherished grandchildren, Deianna and Dylan; his loving siblings, Nancy Zeoli (the late Charles), Phyllis Desmo (James) and Joseph Severino; his sister-in-law, Denise Severino; Michael's godmother, Barbara DiTomasso and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Chuckie is predeceased by his brother, Peter Severino.
Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie on Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Interment will be at the convenience of the family at St. Agnes Cemetery in Menands.
Chuckie was into giving back to the community and therefore at the request of the family, memorial contributions are asked to be made to local charities of your choice.
