Charles L. Robinson

Schenectady - Charles L. Robinson, age 87, passed away on April 27, 2026 at his residence.

He was born in Plattsburgh, NY, the son of the late Angus L. Robinson and Beatrice E. Gonyea. He was also pre-deceased by his two brothers Robert Robinson, Lloyd VanTyne and his sister Sylvia Navaretta.

Charles attended Nott Terrace High School and enlisted in the Army in 1956. He served 22 years in the Military. He was part of the 74th Chemical Company and completed two tours in Vietnam. Charles was Honorably discharged in 1978. He enjoyed bowling and was part of a bowling league for many years. He also enjoyed camping and spending time with his family.

Charles is survived by his Wife of 31 years Linda M Robinson, Sister Sandra Panicci, Sister Diane Reed (Edward Reed), Sister Judy Sears, Son Charles L. Robinson Jr., Son Thomas B. Westervelt (Mary Westervelt), Daughter Danielle M. Sorel (William Sorel Jr.), Rae M. Juers (Sean LeBlanc), Granddaughter Ashlee LeBlanc (Brandon Cotton), Granddaughter Cortney Cydylo, Granddaughter Andrea Westcott, Grandson William Sorel III (Kyla Sorel), Grandson Thomas Westervelt, Grandson Sean Leblanc II. Charles also is survived by his 8 Great Grandchildren. Along with several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his calling hours on Tuesday May 5, 2026 from 10 a.m. to 12 Noon at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, NY 12205. All are invited to attend his funeral services following at 12 Noon. Interment with full military honors will follow at 2 p.m. at Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, NY.

Memorial donations in Charles' name may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of NENY, 1003 New Loudon Road, Suite 201, Cohoes, NY 12047.
