Charles G. Furmanek

Charles G. Furmanek, 83, passed away on July 12, 2025 at the Albany V.A. Medical Center.

Born on August 11, 1941, in Catskill, NY, he was the son to the late Charles and Helen Furmanek.

Charles enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1960, and served Active Duty from 1964 to 1967. He retired from the Watervliet Arsenal and the Army National Guard in 2001. Charles was a member of the VFW Post 08692, American Legion Post 1256, and the Albany Polish-American Club. He enjoyed fishing, automobiles, watching football, and antiquing.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Charles Furmanek, Jr.; siblings, Yvonne Miner and Randell Furmanek.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Roseanne Furmanek; step-son, Ken Brown; children, Gary, Allen, James and Tina; and several grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., with a service to immediately follow at 6:00 p.m., at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Interment with Military Honors to be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 18, 2025 at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville, NY 12871.
