Charles B. Ford, affectionately known as "Butch" to his friends and family, entered eternal peace and much-needed rest on September 11, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Charles was married to his beloved wife, Heather, for more than 46 years, a strong union built on love, commitment, and unwavering dedication to one another. Charles was truly one of a kind: a devoted father, brother, uncle, grandfather, and, most importantly, a true friend to all who knew and loved him.

Charles was born on September 20, 1959, in Albany, New York, to the late Charles Ford Sr. and Virginia Bynum Ford. He attended the Albany City School District and was a proud graduate of Albany High School.

Charles strongly believed that a true man was measured by his actions in the face of adversity and uncertainty. He believed in the importance of hard work, accountability, and responsibility. Above all, he was committed to being a great father and a strong leader for his family.

Charles went on to live a life defined by service, loyalty, and dedication to the betterment of others. Throughout his career, he worked for Liberty Ambulette Wheelchair Service, New Covenant Charter School, Living Resources, and ultimately found his true calling at Albany High School.

Charles worked passionately as a hall monitor within the Albany City School District, where he was dedicated to ensuring that students and staff had a safe, welcoming, and loving environment each and every day. He often spoke with his family about how much he enjoyed watching young people grow, graduate, and prosper into young men and women. Charles genuinely loved and admired the many students and staff members he encountered throughout his journey.

Charles leaves behind a strong and lasting legacy of love, dedication, and commitment to family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Heather; his sons, Christian, Charles, Colby, Corey, and Julian; 18 grandchildren; two sisters; one brother; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends

Charles's life was a testament to the power of love, family, hard work, service, and friendship. His presence touched countless lives, and his memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him.

May Charles "Butch' Ford rest peacefully, knowing that he was deeply loved, greatly respected, and will never be forgotten.
