Catherine "Tootie" Horton

Catherine “Tootie” Horton, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2026, after a long-fulfilled life of 100 years. Born on November 4, 1925, in Troy, to the late Vito and Mary Angrisano.

Known to many as “Tootie,” Catherine’s legacy is etched in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. 

Catherine was predeceased by her loving husband, Clifton E. Horton, whose memory she cherished following his passing. Together, they built a home filled with love and encouragement. She was also predeceased by their children: Terry Horton, Donald Horton, Sandy Hauenstein, and Cathy Santana.

She was a beloved sister to her departed siblings: Mary Blackburn, Victor Angrisano, John Angrisano, Michael Angrisano, Louis Angrisano, Joseph Angrisano, John Angrisano, James Angrisano, and Jane Page, each of whom held a special place in her heart.

Catherine is survived by her son, Cliff Horton and sister, Gloria Lester. Both will miss her presence deeply.

A visitation will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals in Watervliet, located at 181 Troy-Schenectady Rd, on June 26, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will immediately follow at the same location. Interment will follow services at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Troy.
