Catherine E. Rossman
July 29, 1928 — December 29, 2015
Cohoes- Catherine E. Rossman, 87, a former Defreetsville resident, passed away on December 29, 2015 at the Eddy Village Green Nursing Home. She was born in Albany on July 29, 1928 to the late Daniel and Anna (Kearns) Travison.
Kay was a homemaker earning her G.E.D. as an adult and over the years worked part time processing tax returns and then as a tax preparer with Jackson Hewitt Tax Service.
Kay was predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Robert C. Rossman; grandson, Christopher Bearup, and sister, Rosemary Carey.
She is survived by her children, Thomas (Normie) Rossman, Lynn (Stephen) Bearup, Patricia (Dean) Haskins, Susan (Robert) Grimmick and Pamela Rossman (Wayne), seven grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff of House 14 at Eddy Village Green for their compassionate care of Catherine for the past two years.
Calling hours will be held Monday, January 4th, 2016 from 4-8 pm at New Comer Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday January 5th, 2016 at 9 am at Blessed Sacrament Church, 607 Central Ave., Albany, NY. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery.
