Cassidy Zyskowski, passed away peacefully after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer on September 10th, 2025 at the age of 33.
Born on February 8th, 1992 in Schenectady, Cassidy filled every room with warmth, creativity, and love. She had a gift for making life feel magical—whether through her beautiful garden where butterflies now seem to gather in her honor, or through the countless memories she created with family and friends.
Cassidy poured her heart into everything she did. She built a small business with passion and talent, crafting stunning suncatchers that now hang in homes near and far, casting rainbows just as bright and colorful as her spirit. Holidays were always made extra special because of her—especially Halloween, her favorite, which she celebrated with unmatched joy.
Of all her accomplishments, Cassidy’s greatest gift was becoming a mother to her son, Hunter. Watching her step into that role was a blessing to us all, though it came as no surprise—she had always been the best big sister, so nurturing and full of love.
Cassidy was surrounded by a family who adored her. She is survived by her parents, Jennifer Zyskowski and Dennis Dominic, who raised their children with endless love and strength. They gave everything they had to support Cassidy, even bringing her to Dana-Farber to ensure she received the best care possible. She is also survived by her sister, Kaylyn Zyskowski, her son, Hunter Zyskowski-Lalonde(Cody Lalonde), her two loving grandmothers, many aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends who will carry her memory forward.
She was preceded in death by Luella C. Bates, Peter Dominic, and Edwin Zyskowski.
