Loudonville - Carolyn A. Attila , 74, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 17, 2016. Born in Albany, NY, she was the daughter to the late Robert L. Campman and Doris Hagan, and was the devoted wife of 50 years to the late Angelo A. Attila.
Carolyn enjoyed doing ceramics, and gardening. In her free time she mostly enjoyed sewing and reading. Carolyn devoted her life to her family, and her faithful canine companions: Abigail and Cocco.
Carolyn is survived by her children: Elizabeth Terrell-O'Connor of Albany, Susan (Drew) Giungo of Colonie, Karen (Louis A.) Padula of Guilderland, and Carolyn (Gary) Machina of Rexford; cherished grandchildren: Amanda Terrell, April and Alexander Remy, Danielle, Samantha and Dominic Padula, and Brian and Sarah Machina; along with several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
In addition to her beloved husband and parents, Carolyn is predeceased by her brother Robert L. Campman, Jr.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the Albany Medical Center SICU Unit (B2), for their loving compassion and support during Carolyn's final days. A special thank you and gratitude to Ellen Fitzgerald, who provided her skilled nursing abilities with love and care for her whenever she needed them.
A calling hour will be held at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, on Thursday October 20th, 2016, from 9:00 am to 10: 00 am. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated after at 11:00 am at the Shrine Church of Our Lady of the Americas Church (formerly St. Patrick's Church), in Albany. Internment will take place following Mass in the Memory Gardens Cemetery, Colonie.
