COHOES — Carol A. Roulier, 81, passed away on October 3, 2026. She was born in Albany, NY, to the late Arthur and Caroline Netzer-Gessler.
Carol worked as a stenographer at the New York State Museum. A very private person, she enjoyed spending time outdoors, particularly canoeing and hiking. She also loved traveling, with favorite destinations including Hawaii, New England, and the Adirondacks. Carol had a passion for photography and enjoyed accompanying her beloved husband to his wine club.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert Roulier, and her sister, Joan E. Gessler.
Carol is survived by her sister, Jean (Donald) Gietl; her nieces, Donna A. Gietl, Jessie (Jay) Spillane, and Mary Burns; and her great-nephew, Jude Spillane, and great-niece, Miette Spillane.
Carol will be remembered for her love of nature, travel, and photography, and for the quiet way she lived her life.
Calling hours will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at St. Pius X Church, 23 Crumitie Road, Loudonville, NY 12211, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 p.m.
Interment will follow the Mass at St. Agnes Cemetery, 48 Cemetery Avenue, Albany, NY 12204.
