Carol Peterson, age 72, of Albany, New York passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2026. Carol is the daughter of the late, Roy and Josephine Peterson.

Carol was a avid equestrian and lover of animals, especially her cats and her beloved Sassy. She was part of the Muchachos as a color-guard member and the Avante Garde. Carol loved life and took every advantage of seeing the world. Her favorite places were Disney World and her home in Maine.

Carol is survived by her longtime friends, Georgina, Mary, Kim and Kenny, along with many loving friends.

Flowers may be sent in Carol's memory to the funeral home or donations may be made in her memory to Mohawk Humane Society or Hospice.

A Memorial Service will be held at Newcomer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd., Watervliet on Monday, August 24, 2026 at 11:45 am. Inurnment will immediately follow at Albany Rural Cemetery at 1:00 pm.
