Carol E. Olsen, 85, of Schenectady, joined the Lord on October 16, 2026, at the Baptist Health Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Scotia, NY.

Carol was born on May 1, 1941, in Schenectady, NY, the daughter of the late Chester and Jane (Chmielewski) Jazebowski. She was the former owner and operator of her own ceramic studio. With her best friend Kay and their creativity, she participated in attending craft shows together. Carol was also a former member of the Red Hat Society and retired from a printing position from the NYS Association of Nurses.

At 18 years old, she married the love of her life, Robert Olsen, and they remained by each other’s side in marriage for 67 years. In addition to her husband, Carol is survived by her three children: Robert Jr. (Barbara), Greg, and Gary (Lori); eight grandchildren: Rinae, Zachary, Sean, Sarah, Gregory Jr., Karissa, Tyler, and Ryanne; four great-grandchildren: Zane, Elijah, Lennon, and Theodore; her brother, John (Diane) Jazebowski; and her sister, Denise Pavone (Ben).

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie, NY, with a funeral service beginning at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Troy–Schenectady Road, Colonie, NY.
