Carol Mary Hebert

Carol Mary Hebert, 73 of Watervliet, New York passed away peacefully on Sunday July 13, 2025 after a one year battle with cancer, surrounded by her family at The Eddy Heritage House in Troy, New York. 

Born on February 1st, 1952 in Troy, New York, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Margaret Hebert of Watervliet, NY. 

Carol attended Watervliet Junior Senior High School, later working for Morgan Linen and Samaritan Hospital. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing cards, going out with the girls, and visiting the casino. She also volunteered at the Watervliet Senior Citizen Center for many years, and belonged to the Watervliet Elks post 1500. 

Carol is survived by her son, Thomas and his wife, Catherine, as well as her grandsons, Tyler, Christopher, and Johnathan Benjamin. She is also survived by her brother, Richard, and sister Patricia (Thomas) Donovan, as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Thomas and Margaret Hebert, Carol was also predeceased by her brothers Thomas Jr. (Lyn) and Robert Hebert. 

Friends may visit on Monday, July 21st, from 9:00 to 10:00 AM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet, NY. Memorial service will begin at 10:00AM, immediately followed by committal at Saint Patrick's Cemetery in Watervliet. 

Donations in her name may be made to Albany Medical Center Hospital. 

The family would like to give a special thanks to the nurses, doctors, and staff of the Neuroscience unit on D5 East at Albany Medical Center Hospital, as well as the staff of the 4th floor at The Eddy Heritage House, especially Daniel Donovan, Danielle Hollier, and supervisor Pam.
