Carlotta Mentor

Carlotta Mentor, better Known as Carla, 20, passed away on Friday, November 10, 2017, at her home in Watervliet, NY. She was born on May 29th, 1997 in Guyana, South America, to Michel Elliott and Carlyle Mentor.

Carlotta spent her formative years in Linden, Guyana, and later migrated to the United States at the age of 8 with her immediate family. She attended the Kevin G. Lagan School –The Center for Disability Services.

Carlotta is preceded in death by her Aunt, Stella Elliott and Uncle Garfield Mentor.

Carlotta is survived by her beloved mother, Michel Elliott and father, Carlyle Mentor; devoted sisters: Rashana Mentor, Rachel Warner (Samuel), and Romanda Mentor; her Grandparent's Earle and Mildred Mentor; Aunts: Sharon Elliott, Carlotta Elliott, Cicely Prince (Zikel), Paulette Mickle(Martin), Renelda Joseph (Earl), Zenette Mentor, Wynette Hughes (Paul), Janella Mentor-Forde (Ronald), and Marlyn Mentor-Sutton(Charles); uncles Bryan Mentor (Ann), Earl Mentor (Marilyn), Leyland Mentor, Shurland Roberts, and Winick Reid.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday November 14, 2017 at 11 a.m. at New Comer Funeral and Cremations 181 Troy Schenectady Rd., Watervliet, NY 12189. The family will be greeting relatives and friends prior to the service from 9:00 AM-11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Albany Rural Cemetery, Cemetery Ave, Albany, NY 12204.
