Bruce L. Iovino

Bruce L. Iovino , 58, passed away peacefully on August 22 at St. Peter's Hospital. He was born in Saratoga. Bruce was raised in Albany by his parents, the late Joseph and Barbara Laviano. 

He was a lifelong resident of the capital region, often described as a gypsy by those who knew him best. His first job was in his parents candy shop. Bruce worked as a blacktopper for many years all around the area. There was nothing he loved more in life than his grandchildren. 

Bruce is survived by his loving daughter, Alyssa Iovino, sister Antoinette Laviano Thomas (Don), brothers Howard and Stephan Iovino, grandchildren Amiah and Janyah Mason, Gionnah and Analyah Bolden and Syloh Igoe, great grandson D'Andre Jones as well as several nieces and nephews. 

A visitation will be held on Tuesday September 2 from 11am-12pm with a service to follow at 12pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals. 

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday August 30 at 12:00 noon, at Monroe State Park (follow signs)
