Brian E. Bullard, a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend, passed away on January 11, 2026. He was born in Troy, NY, and lived a life full of passion, dedication, and camaraderie.
Brian was a proud graduate of Colonie Central High School Class of 1992. Brian dedicated much of his professional life to the railroad industry. He served most recently as the Regional Manager of Railroad Operations at Engineering Construction Consultants. Prior to that, from 2020 to 2024, he worked as a railroad worker in charge at National Railroad Safety Services, Inc. Brian's commitment to his profession was further exemplified during his time as President and local chairman at United Transportation Union Local 394 between 2002 and 2017, and as a Locomotive Engineer at CSX from 1998 to 2019.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Brian was known for his deep love of animals and music, sharing these passions with a wide circle of friends. He immersed himself in the vibrant 518 music scene, and as a talented guitarist, playing in many different bands, most recently with 10-50 Nightmare. His presence in these circles brought joy and connection to many.
Brian leaves behind his wife, Jill Bullard, and their two children, Ashley (Curt McMickle) Bullard and Ryan Bullard. He is also survived by his parents, Richard and Mary Ann (McKinley) Bullard and brother, Robert Bullard. Brian held a special place in his heart for his niece, Jenna Bullard, and his nephew, James Van Der Linden, as well as for many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends whose lives he touched.
A visitation will be held on January 31, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 3:00 PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd., Watervliet, NY 12189.
