Berch Parlakian

Berch Parlakian passed away after a short illness on April 10, 2025, dying peacefully at home with his wife, Jane, of 55 years by his side. 

Berch grew up in the tenements of New York and moved to Albany following military service. After graduating from Russell Sage, he served most of his career as credit manager at Grassland Equipment and Irrigation. Together with Jane, they raised two children in their Colonie home. 

Berch loved sweets, dogs, and the Adirondacks; he enjoyed a good, long life on his own terms. 

He is mourned by his wife, Jane (Sondrini) Parlakian; his children: Rebecca (Larry) and Matthew; his grandchildren: Ella, Bennett, Zoe, and Charlotte; nephew, Peter Robertson (Debbie); dear friend, Bob Meschino; and many others. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.
