Barbara Ann Milton Hallenbeck

Voorheesville - Hallenbeck, Barbara Ann Milton, 77 of Voorheesville entered peacefully into eternal rest after a brief illness on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, surrounded by family. Barbara was born on April 28, 1948 in Albany, NY and was the beloved youngest daughter of the late Ralph and Mae (Lister) Milton. She spent most of her life in Delmar, NY and graduated from Bethlehem Central High School. Barbara spent her early career years as a beautician. She then was a stay-at-home mom until 1984 when she went to work as an Administrative Assistant for the NYS Dormitory Authority, retiring in 2008. To provide extra income for her family, Barbara worked numerous 2nd jobs throughout the years and spent many years volunteering for the NFL Alumni Caring for Children. 

Above all, Barbara was a wonderful homemaker, devoted wife and loving mother. She enjoyed traveling to many places including her favorite places, Mohonk Mountain House, Sedona, AZ and Aruba. She took many trips with her family creating cherished memories.  

Barbara will be remembered for her kindness, generosity to all and the deep devotion she had to her family and friends.

Barbara was predeceased by her husband of 36 years, Harding Hallenbeck whom she met at the age of 13 at Lebanon Valley Speedway; her two loving daughters Erin (Thomas) Hulverson and Torre (Greg) Rivers; the sunshine of her life whom she loved the most her granddaughter, Katherine Rivers. Barbara was also survived by her niece, Barbara (Sam) Argiris; nephew, Christopher Jeune; nephew Charles Meyers; her sister-in-law, Mary (James) Smart and brother-in-law Robert Zautner; many great nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Rudy. Barbara was predeceased by her in-laws, Robert and Marguerite Zautner; sisters Jean, Patricia and Randall Jeune and Rita and Chuck Meyers; and nephews, Randy Jeune and Brian Meyers. The family would like to thank her wonderful friends, Sheryl and Paul Klob and John and Diane Capron for all their love and support throughout the years. 

Per Barbara’s Request, there will be no services. Cremation arrangements will be overseen by New Comer Cremations & Funerals, Colonie.In lieu of flowers, Barbara has requested that memorial donations be made to her granddaughter Katie’s college fund and can be sent C/O Torre Rivers, 1 Spruce Court, Voorheesville, NY, 12186.
