Barbara J. Blenis

Albany – Barbara J. Blenis, 80, passed away on December 19, 2025, following a brief illness at Albany Medical Center Hospital.

She was born on February 16, 1945, in Albany, New York, to the late Ernest and Mildred Kiburz.

Barbara enjoyed cooking, cross-stitch, traveling, and gathering with family. She cherished time spent with loved ones and will be remembered for her warmth and devotion to family.

Barbara was predeceased by her beloved husband of 54 years, Charles Blenis, as well as her sisters, Leona Slater and Kathy Thibodeau.

She is survived by her daughter, Valerie (Steven Pommer) Blenis ; her sister, Linda (Gene) Wilsey ; her brothers, Edward (Ruthie) Kiburz and George Kiburz; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
