COLONIE – Audrey A. (Sherman) Kot, 71, of Albany, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 26, 2012 at Albany Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Ticonderoga and was the daughter of the late Stuart and Laura Wood Sherman. Audrey was employed with the South Colonie School District for fifteen years.
Audrey is the beloved wife of 51 years to George Kot Jr. She is the devoted mother of Dawn Kot, Laurie Kot, Sheri (Kot) Monroe and the late George Kot III. She is the sister of Bernard (Gail) Sherman and Evelyn (John) Crist. She is the cherished grandmother of Matthew Laraway, Christine Laraway, Michael Monroe and Mikayla Monroe. She is the great grandmother of Broden Laraway. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Rensselaer, 295 Valley View Blvd. Rensselaer, NY 12144 in memory of Audrey A. Kot.
