Albany- Arlene F. Hallett, 69, passed away peacefully on December 4, 2017 at St. Peter's Hospital after a brief illness. Born on November 28, 1948 in Albany, NY, she was the daughter of the late John and Carmella (LaBello) Hurley. Arlene worked for New York State for 19 years for the office of the Comptroller. Arlene was a fan of trying her luck at the casino, especially on the slots.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Ronald G. Hallett of Albany; her son Ronald J. Hallett of Albany and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to her parents, Arlene was predeceased by her sister Maureen Knauf. Arlene was also predeceased by her canine companions: Rascal and Tax.
Memorial visitation will be from 11 am to 1 pm on Saturday, December 9 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. A memorial service will be held at 1 pm at the funeral home. Burial at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery will be held at a future date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Arlene's name to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave, Menands, NY 12204.
