Albany~
Antoinette (Graziano) LaPorte, 98, of Albany, passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital with her loving family by her side.
Born in Caserta, Italy, Antoinette was the daughter of the late John and Angela (Cafaro) Graziano. She was the devoted wife to the late Earl LaPorte. They were married 57 years until his passing in 1995.
Antoinette has resided in Albany the majority of her life since immigrating from Italy in 1928. Antoinette was a homemaker, wife, and caring mother and grandmother. A devout Roman Catholic, Antoinette was a communicant of All Saints Catholic Church. She was also a member of Friends, Seniors and Granny's Squares at All Saints Catholic Church.
Antoinette enjoyed spending time with her entire family and loved cooking and making pasta, her sauce was especially enjoyed by family and friends. Antoinette was traditional, enjoying family dinners, making an assortment of cookies at Christmas time and making wandi Italian cookies for Easter. She enjoyed having friends and family over at her home.
Loving mother of; the late Edmund LaPorte, the late Robert LaPorte, Angela (Rick) Helton and Nancy (Jim) Trudeau. Cherished grandmother of nine grandchildren, great grandmother of fourteen, and great great grandmother of one.
Besides her husband and her parents, Antoinette was predeceased by eight of her siblings.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd, Colonie on Wednesday, December 27th from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 am on December 28th at All Saints Catholic Church, 16 Homestead St, Albany (behind CVS).
Interment will follow the mass in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association, 4 Atrium Dr #100, Albany, NY 12205.
The family would like to thank Kenwood Manor, St. Peter's Hospital 4th Floor Cardiac Unit and the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's. Special thanks to Dorie, Antoinette's case worker who got her and her family through these difficult times.
