Anthony J. Iuorno

Anthony J. Iuorno, 30, passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2026.

Anthony was a graduate of Guilderland High School and earned a Bachelor’s Degree from SUNY Plattsburgh. While growing up in Guilderland, Anthony was active in little league baseball, club soccer and youth basketball. He lettered in high school on the varsity soccer and track teams. After graduating from college, Anthony held positions in the construction and environmental services industries.

Although Anthony was involved in many youth activities, his true passion was enjoying the company of his friends and brothers. He loved playing video games with his buddies, watching funny movies with his brothers and sharing personal moments with his cousins. He never sought the limelight but cherished nights with family enjoying “snacks and videos” while cuddling his dog Scruffy. Anthony very much enjoyed the company of his four grandparents and aunts and uncles. He had a beautiful smile and warm way about him. He will always be remembered as the little boy who took the initiative to approach other kids he didn’t know and say, “Hi! Do you wanna play?” Within minutes he would have a new friend. He also had a knack for sprinkling some humor on awkward moments to lighten the mood and he was a strong, caring protector of those he was close with.

Anthony is survived by his parents, Thomas and Maureen Iuorno, his brothers, Nicholas and Matthew Iuorno, his paternal grandparents Sentatro and Genevieve Iuorno, his maternal grandmother Margaret M. Sullivan and loving aunts, uncles and cousins. He is predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Joseph P. Sullivan.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, August 31, 2026 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., with a service to immediately follow, at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Interment to follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Guilderland.
