Anthony A. Campione

Mar 15, 1944 — Jul 27, 2026

Listen to Obituary

Anthony "Tony" A. Campione, crossed the finish line of his human race. He entered this world on a snowy IDEs of March, 1944 by and through the profound love shared by Salvatore (Sam the Barber) and Elizabeth (Bess nèe Watson) Campione, his much revered Mom and Dad.

Known by many as one of the region’s greatest overthinkers and a consummate worrywart, rather than accenting the goodness all about him, he stressed way too much over the potential negatives in any given situation. As a result, he could never be content to let life naturally follow its intended course, and take from it/enjoy the fruits of his labor. However, the one thing that must be positively said is that this man truly loved and appreciated both family and friends with whom be was blessed, and of whom he was most proud.

In moving on, this brother, uncle, and gruncle leaves to ponder his foibles…his very dear sister Mary (Ron), bon vivant nephew Jason (Bonnie) and beautiful nieces Liza (Patrick) and Becky. As well, there are his younger superstars: Connor, Adam and Claire Patchen.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, August 10, 2026 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at Blessed Sacrament Church, 607 Central Ave, Albany. Interment to follow at St Agnes Cemetery in Section 50 under the red maple. Although politically a moderate, there he/his remains shall lie on the far right. In faith, this poor soul has finally set sail.
