Anna F. Stone

Anna F. Stone, 76, passed away Monday, April 27, 2026 at her home with her loving family by her side.

She was the daughter of the late John Atkinson and Elsie McGowan. Anna was the devoted wife to the late Bernard J. Stone, Sr.

Anna worked for Story Place Preschool and Head Start. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She was the mother of the neighborhood. Annaloved gallivanting in thrift stores and Sally’s. She always had her morning coffee from Stewart’s. Anna also adored flowers and sitting out back in her garden with her dog Callie. She enjoyed telling her grandchildren story’s about her and her children and of course their grandfather. She was the most caring sweetest person and would give you the shirt off her back.

Anna is survived by her children, Bernard , Brian and Brandon Stone (Carley Gurtler). siblings, John Richard Atkinson Jr. and Debbie Battige. She is the proud grandmother of Amber, Taylor, Derek, Braydin and Brynn Stone as well as many nieces, nephews and close friends.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Albany, New York on Wednesday May 6, 2026 from 10:00am to 12:00pm. A funeral service will follow the calling hours at 12:00pm at the funeral home. Interment will be held at a later date at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie where she will be laid to rest with her mother and her husband.
