Anna Russell

Altamont- Anna Dunham Russell, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at the age of 85. She was born into this world as Anna Dunham, daughter of Anna and Albert Dunham of Eagle Mills, NY.
Ann attended school in Troy, graduated and went to work as a secretary. It was shortly thereafter, that she met her husband of 65 years, Philip Russell. Ann and Phil met while working at Guyer and Bloom in Troy, NY. Ann later worked for many years as secretary for the State Police until her retirement. Throughout her life, she was devoted to her family and cared for them in any way that she could. She lived in Altamont until the fall of 2014 at which point she entered the Baptist Nursing Care Facility in Scotia. A special thank you goes to the exceptional staff of H3 there that kept Ann comfortable.
She is survived by her husband Mr. Philip Russell, of Altamont, son Robert Russell, Mr. and Mrs. Scott E. and Jenifer M. Russell, of New Hartford, NY; her loving grandchildren: Daniel Russell, James Russell and Megan Russell.
Funeral Services will be held at 12pm on Wednesday on September 7 at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Visitation will be held from 11 am to 12 pm prior to the service. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Troy.
