Ann G. Smith

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Ann G. Smith, 82, of Loudonville, NY who entered into eternal rest on Thursday, April 2nd, 2026.

A devoted Catholic, Ann lived her life grounded in faith, compassion, and kindness. She frequently placed the needs of others before her own. Offering love and comfort to anyone fortunate to know her.

She found great joy in traveling, especially her cherished pilgrimages to Lourdes, France where her devotion was enriched through the inspiration of St. Bernadette. Those journeys held a special place in her heart and reflected her enduring faith.

She had many different hobbies and passions. Some included dancing, more specifically Swing dancing, cooking, and overall, spending time with her family.

Ann was predeceased by her parents, Anthony and Anna Gitto.

Ann is survived by her children, Melissa (Mark) Wilson, Richard J. Smith, Randall Smith, Brett (Laura) Smith, Andrew (Kimberly) Smith and their father, Richard O. Smith. Her brother, Joseph (Cindy) Gitto, 11 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. As well as her nieces.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Pius Catholic Church, 23 Crumitie Rd, Loudonville, NY 12211. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Glenmont.

Donations may be made in Ann's name to the Alzheimer’s Association.
