LATHAM-Angelo P. Camarota, 84, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on September 3, 2016 at St. Peter's Community Hospice Inn.
He was born on March 17, 1932 to the late Julius and Antonette (Martinese) Camarota in Albany, NY.
Angelo was a lifelong resident of the Capital District and was a memeber of Christ Our Light (formerly St. Francis De Sales Roman Catholic Church. Angelo worked at Winthrop Laboratories as Chemical Operator. He also worked as a decorator and was a member of the Painters Union Local 201.
He was a devoted father, grandfather, brother and friend. He loved football and his devoted canine companion Trixie. He will be very dearly missed by his family and friends.
Angelo is survived by his children, Patty Cate (Black) and her brother Michael Campion. He is also survived by his children, Lisbeth (Ronald) Schutz, Rich Camarota and their mother Betty; grandchildren, Sabrina, Vanessa, Bradley, Tyler, Selene, Jessica Faith; brother, Eugene (Avis Parkis) Camarota; sister, Nancy (Joseph) Roberti; nieces, Marie Roberti-Esposito, Isabella Esposito, Cindy Kellogg, Tania Kellogg; nephews, Sergio Esposito, Jeremy Kellogg; 5 great-grandchildren and many other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was predeceased by his wife, Katherine Camarota and his brother, Bernard (Joanne) Camarota.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00am at Christ Our Light Catholic Church. . Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 from 4-7pm at New Comer Funeral Home. Interment will be held at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery.
Memorials contributions may be made payable to Patty Cate to be set up in trust for the education of Jessica Faith.
