Albany~
Angelina Lombardo, 90, of Albany peacefully ascended into Heaven on Saturday April 21, 2018 with her loving family at her side. Born in Brooklyn, NY on June 17, 1927, Angelina was the daughter of the late John and Josephine (DeFiore) Bagnardi.
Along with her brother Albert Bagnardi (predeceased) and sister Johanna Welge, she was raised in Oneonta, NY. While the Army was sponsoring her nursing education at The College of St. Rose, she met her husband of twenty-two years, Pasquale "Pat" Lombardo of Lombardo's Restaurant. Angie was a night nurse at St. Rose while she raised her six children. Later in life she traveled with her daughter Johanna to help and educate women with breast cancer. Angie belonged to the knitting club at her home parish of Mater Christi, enjoyed traveling with family, sitting on Manasquan Beach, reading, listening to Frank Sinatra, and watching the Yankees. She is predeceased by her daughter Johanna Lombardo and survived by her children Patricia Burnham, Charles "Buddy" (Kathy) Lombardo, Donna (Marty) Hebert, Natalie Monescalchi (Eliot), and Diane Gabriels (Jim). She shared many memories with her 12 grandchildren: Donna (Joe) Mannarino; Deah (Chris) Postiglion; Brittany Burnham; John Ehmann; Michael (Tracey) Hebert; Justin and Ryan (Ashley) Lombardo; Michael and Anthony Monescalchi; Christian, Charlie, and Eric Gabriels. She will be especially missed by her many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call 4-7p.m. on Thursday April 26th at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. The funeral service will be held Friday April 27th at Mater Christi Parish, 40 Hopewell St., in Albany where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30a.m. Internment will follow the mass at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 4 Pine West Plaza #405, Albany, NY 12205.
