Allyssa Tillson Moody

Allyssa Tillson Moody, 46, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2026 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on June 27, 1979 in Schenectady, NY, she was the daughter of Wendy and the late Stephen Tillson.

Allyssa attended Schenectady High School, where she forged many of her lifelong friendships and initially met her husband, Nick. She went on to study at Pace University in Pleasantville, NY where she graduated in 2001. She later worked as a paralegal for a few area law firms, most recently at Bond, Schoeneck & King, PLLC.

Allyssa had a great love for animals, especially her huskies, Brodie and Jonah. She loved her music, and dancing and singing at the top of her lungs. She was always ready for an adventure and loved to travel. She was widely known for her sassy, loving nature. She was someone who could see herself in everyone she met and leave a lasting impact. She was a wonderful and devoted mother, wife, aunt, sister, and friend.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Nick, her children, Ellison and Ethan, and her sister, Sarah Sardella (Thomas), as well as many nieces, nephews and close in-laws.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations and Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie, NY on Saturday, February 21, 2026 from 11 AM to 2 PM. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Allyssa's name can be made to a college fund set up for her children, Ellison and Ethan.
