Allen U. Nuss, of Clifton Park, New York, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family. He was 90 years old.
Born in Pottsville, Pennsylvania, Allen was the son of the late Allen and Anna Nuss. He grew up alongside his sisters, Elizabeth Boyer (Paul), Mary Lou Hoffman (Harry), and Ruth Ann Artz (Harry), and carried throughout his life a deep appreciation for family, hard work, and the simple joys that brought people together. Of his siblings, his beloved sister Elizabeth survives him.
Allen was the devoted husband of Jeanne DeFrank Nuss, with whom he shared a lifetime of love, partnership, and unwavering commitment. Together, they built a family grounded in faith, kindness, laughter, and love.
Allen enjoyed a distinguished career with General Electric, where he served as a Human Resources Executive. Throughout his career, he was respected for his leadership, integrity, and dedication to helping others grow and succeed. He took great pride in his work and formed lasting relationships with colleagues who admired both his professional excellence and genuine care for people.
Allen was a loving father to his son, Christopher Nuss (Caitlin), and his daughter, Cynthia Bleistein (Dave). He was a proud and devoted grandfather to Maggie Nuss, Riley Nuss (Anthony), Justin Bleistein, Nick Bleistein, and Sara Bleistein. He was also a cherished great-grandfather to Colson, Riley's son, who brought him tremendous joy.
To those who knew him best, Allen will be remembered for his warmth, gentle spirit, quick wit, and ability to make everyone feel welcome. He taught his family to appreciate life's simple pleasures: gathering around the table, sharing stories and laughter, listening to music, dancing, spending time at the beach, playing cards, and cherishing every moment with loved ones. His greatest joy was found in the company of family and friends, creating memories that will live on for generations.
Allen's legacy is reflected in the lives of his children, grandchildren, and all who were fortunate enough to know him. Through his example, he taught the importance of integrity, generosity, resilience, and unconditional love. His wisdom, guidance, and devotion to family will continue to inspire those he leaves behind.
