Alfreda M. Greghi-Pitts

On Thursday morning October 30th, 2025, Alfreda (Free) Greghi Pitts passed peacefully in her sleep at home after a long illness. Alfreda was predeceased by her husband Raymond (Poppy) Pitts, parents Oddone and Irene Greghi and son Francis Pitts.

Alfreda is survived by her children Rhonda Pitts-Greenway (John) and Heather Hogan (Brian). Her grandchildren Triesa (Joe), Kyle, Meghan (Michael) and Shane. Great grandchildren Logan, Ray, Garrus, Gideon and Ethan. She is also survived by her sister Maria (Guy) Falkenheimer, and niece Andrea Falkenheimer. 

Alfreda worked for the City of Albany first as a school crossing guard and then as a Public Service Officer retiring in 2007 dedicating more than 30 years to the city.

Alfreda cherished her time with family and friends. She enjoyed bingo, bowling and the casinos. She was fierce, bold and feisty . Tell it like it is. That's how she was.

Alfreda's personality and smile will be missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie NY, 12205. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont.
