Albert Edward Moffatt

COLONIE - Albert Edward Moffatt, 91, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Milltown, New Brunswick, Canada on July 29, 1934, a son of the late Raymond and Irene Moffatt

Albert was employed for over forty years with Jardine, Emmett & Chandler, Insurance, Inc in Colonie.

He enjoyed the Chicago Black Hawks and the St. Louis Cardinals as his favorite teams. His greatest joy in life, however, was his grandchildren and great grandchildren and going to their events with his late wife, Ferne.

He was pre-deceased by wife of 66 years, Ferne M. Moffatt in 2021 and his son Robert Moffatt in 1984.

Albert is survived by his children, Steve (Dona), Linda (Jack) Armitage, John (Sue), and Pam (Rick) Zapfel. He is survived by his cherished grandchildren, Hunter (Donelle), Tyler (Marisa), Katie (Shane), Robbie (Megan), Timothy (Jarrod), Molly (Jack), Trevor (Amanda), Haley (Alex), Kim (Santino), Connor (Bailee) and Riley (Clara); his great grandchildren, Liam, Olivia, Teagan, Sophia, Weston, Lillian, Brody and Paisleigh; his siblings Carl (Lois), Don (Dorinda), Wayne (Lori) and Betsy (Bob) Mattarazzo.

At the request of the family, services will be private.
