Albert Lee (Sandy) Lape 

A beloved son, brother, father, grandfather and great grandfather. A wonderful friend too many.

A proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps.

A Lifetime Member of Marine Corps League – Electric City Detachment #222 since 2003. During his tenure with the MCL Sandy was active in the Color Guard, Rifle Squad, Member/Family Picnic, Annual Birthday Ball Celebration, and led the annual Trust A Marine fundraising effort. He served in many leadership positions including Jr. Vice Commandant, Sr. Vice Commandant and Commandant and was honored as Marine of the Year. He was also a Pedigree member of the Military Order of Devil Dogs.

Albert was predeceased by his father and mother, Lee E Lape, Shirely M Lape (Dames). His wife Carole (Empie)Lape, brother Timothy Lape, son Albert Lee Lape Jr. and brother-in-law Gary Spaulding.

Albert is survived by sons Mykle, Shane (Lilian), Christopher Lape and beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Beloved brother to, Nancy Spaulding, Sherry (Benjamin) Norero and Tammy Mischitelli. Beloved uncle to Justina Norero, Gary L Spaulding, Benjamin Norero and Brandon Mischitelli. And his beloved dog, Rosey.

There will be a graveside ceremony Monday August 25th at 11 with United States Marine military honors at Evergreen Memorial Park 2150 Central Ave Schenectady NY.
