ALAN MICHAEL BURSOR

“THE CHEERFUL ONE”

Born 05/04/1974 on Kentucky Derby Day.

Died suddenly on 08/14/2026.

Alan was the son of Robert and the late Elisa Bursor. He leaves behind his daughter, Julianna Bursor; his son, Angelo Walsh; his son-in-law, Dominic Cornelius IV; his grandsons, Dominic Cornelius V and Jayce Robert Cornelius; his brother, Scott Bursor; and his many nieces.

Alan was born in Schenectady, NY. He was one of the greatest men alive. He always tried his best, no matter the circumstance, and gave everything he had to the people and work he loved. He was a kind, steady presence in the lives of those around him. He loved the outdoors and was an accomplished landscaper.

A Poem From His Daughter

“To the Best Papa Ever” 

I don’t know how to do this,

or how to say goodbye.

It still doesn’t feel real

that you’re no longer here by my side.

I keep thinking of all the things

I wish I could have said,

all the moments I would give anything

to have one more time again.

I hope I made you proud,

even when I was loud.

I hope you knew how much I loved you,

even when I didn’t always say it out loud.

I’ll carry you with me

in everything I do.

In every memory I hold close,

there will always be a part of you.

Your voice, your laughter,

the lessons you left behind

they will stay with me

for the rest of my life.

I wish I could have had more time,

but I’m grateful for the time we had.

And no matter how much I miss you,

I will always be proud to call you Dad.

I hope you knew I loved you.

I hope you knew you mattered.

And I hope, wherever you are,

you know I’ll carry you with me forever.

A visitation will be held on Sunday August 23rd from 12-3pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd, Watervliet.
