GUILDERLAND - Leo Patrick Bonneau, Sr., 75, passed away on Friday, December 24, 2010 at the Stratton VA Medical Center.
Pat was born on March 17, 1935 in Cohoes and was the son of the late Leo and Joyce (Baker) Bonneau. He served in the US Marine Corps during the Korean War from 1953 to 1956, attaining the rank of Private First Class. He worked as a laborer for Local #190 for over 30 years, before retiring in 1995. He was a family man, loved spending time with all of his family. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, the Adirondacks, and spending time at the family camp.
Pat is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Barbara A. (Reittinger) Bonneau; his loving daughters, Kimberly Bonneau, Vicki (Michael) Avery and Karen (Brian) Mattison; his grandchildren, Albert Blake III, Michael Avery Jr., Tristin Williams, and Amber and Lily Mattison; his brothers, William (Rosemary) Bonneau and Daniel (Ruth Ann) Bonneau; his sister, Darlene (William) Nopper; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, L. Patrick Bonneau, Jr., and his brothers, Gilbert and Ernest Bonneau.
A funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery in Colonie. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Stratton VA Medical Center, 113 Holland Ave., Albany, NY 12208 in memory of Leo Patrick Bonneau, Sr.
