Doris M. Metz
Born in Albany on November 20, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Michael V. and Lillian R. (Dott) Bennett. She was a lifelong area resident and was a lifelong communicant of the Church of St. Clare.
Doris was a draftsman for General Electric during WWII and then worked as a sales merchandiser for Gibson Card Co. in Albany for many years. She enjoyed her camp at Sacandaga Lake and spending time with her family.
Doris is survived by her loving children and their spouses, Edward and Dana Metz of Colonie, Sharon and Leonard Damiano of Schenectady, James and Patricia Metz of Colonie, Doreen and James DeMasi of Schenectady, and Sandra and Americo Paniccia of Colonie. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 53 years Henry J. Metz, he died in 1997.
Funeral services were private at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery in Niskayuna.
