Albany- Mackey (Haack) A. Mildred “Millie”, 79, of West Albany passed away on Thursday March 16 2023 at Albany Memorial Hospital in Albany, NY. She was born in Albany on March 23 1943, to the late Henry Haack II and Mildred D. Haack (Crounse). She was a graduate of Phillip Schuyler High School Class of 1962.

Millie worked and retired from the former Villa Mary Immaculate in Albany. She adored her job and coworkers, but most of all the residents- frequently going in on her days off to visit with them. She enjoyed spending time with family, shopping, baking, and watching her favorite shows. She enjoyed going on vacations with her husband and going to casinos. Millie was full of life and was known to always get the dance floor going at any event, especially to the “Macarena” or “The Electric Slide.” She also loved music and karaoke- her favorite song to sing was “Unchained Melody.” Millie was full of love and was a friend to everyone.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by four of her brothers- James, Robert, Peter, and Henry III.

She is survived by her husband of over 57 years, Lewis W. Mackey Sr. She is also survived by her two Sons- Lewis W. Mackey Jr (Maryann) and William L. Mackey Sr. (Lisa Panetta); Grandchildren- Kaitlyn Michaud (Zachary), William Mackey Jr, and Cassandra Mackey; Great-Grandchildren- Kane and Lucas; brother Patrick Haack; and many more cherished relatives and friends.
