Susan G. Boettner, 67, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 12, 2023 at Saint Peter’s Hospital, after a long illness. She was the daughter of Dolores (Biever) Fischer and the late Joseph W. Fischer.

Susan was a graduate of Averill Park High School, and Hudson Valley, and worked for over 30 years with the New York State Higher Education Department in Albany.

Susan enjoyed ceramics and was an enthusiastic fan of professional football, Go Chiefs!

In addition to her father, she was predeceased by her son, Eric Boettner.

Susan is survived by her mother, Dolores Fischer, as well as her siblings, Mari Lee, Margaret Williams, Catherine McGuire, Joseph Fischer, Christopher Fischer, and Jeffrey Fischer. Susan is also survived by her daughter, Megan (Robert Rafalik) Boettner, as well as her granddaughter, Amelia, and grandson Robert.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations and Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd., Watervliet, New York on Saturday March 18, 2023 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Burial will be private.

In Lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Ronald McDonald House Charities Inc. 26345 Network Place, Chicago, IL 60673-1263 in Susan's memory.
