Raymond Parker Wyche
1943 - 2023

Raymond P. Wyche, 80, of Rensselaer New York passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 4, 2023 with his loving wife Alicia by his side. Raymond is the son of the late Joseph and Marie (Vona) Wyche.

Ray was raised in Coxsackie, New York as part of a large loving family. After graduating from RCS High School in Ravena, Ray joined the United States Marine Corp where he served at Marine Corps Base Quantico in Virginia. After four years of proud service, Raymond transitioned to the private sector, initially working as a truck driver for Texaco. In 1981, Ray moved across country to California, to join his brothers and take a job with General Electric. While in California, he met and married his wife Alicia, bringing together a blended family of six children. Ray took full advantage of the west coast weather by enjoying gardening & grilling in his backyard, frequent trips to the beach and spending time outside with family. In 1990, Ray and his family returned to New York to be closer to his large extended family. He maintained his employment with General Electric, transferring to their facility in Selkirk, where after many years of dedicated service, he retired.

Ray was predeceased by his children Lisa Marquez and Andrew Dominguez. He is survived by his children; David Wyche, William (Marie) Dominguez, Samantha (Christopher) Nasuti and Azalea (Jay Wingfield) Dominguez. Grandsons; Noah, Andrew and Carl. Granddaughters Marissa, Alexandra, Aminah, Alianna, Sophia and Ella. Sisters; Danielle Parks and Michelle (Richard) Fralick. Brothers; Joseph (Joan) Wyche, Chester (Nancy) Wyche, Lawrence (Deborah) Wyche, Jeffrey (Rose) Wyche and Jacques (Janice) Dorsey, along with a host of nieces and nephews whom he loved and cherished.

Raymond was a true family man in every sense. He worked hard to provide a good life and made sure his loved ones knew how much he cared for them. Whether Ray was bragging about his children and grandchildren to anyone who would listen, cooking for family gatherings, or simply dropping in to say hello unexpectedly, he was there. Ray never met a person he didn’t like and quickly, strangers became friends. His warm smile and infectious laugh brightened the day of all who were lucky enough to know him.

Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Raymond’s life on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 2:00pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 4 Cobblers Lane, Rensselaer, NY 12144.
