Voorheesville- Jack G. DeClercq, 75, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, November 15, 2022. Born in Albany he was the son of the late Albert and Mary DeClercq. Jack is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Rose M. (Mosca) DeClercq who will love him through eternity.

Jack was a mechanical engineer working at Intermagnetics General Corporation before his retirement. He was an avid turkey and deer hunter and fisherman. Jack also really enjoyed NASCAR, summer vacations on L.B.I with his family and loved Elvis Presley, seeing him in concert with Rose hundreds of times. Above all, Jack was a very loving and proud husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

In addition to his wife, Jack is survived by his two daughters; Lisa DeClercq and Jacqueline DeClercq-Metcalfe (Robert). He was the loving “PopPop” to, Mark, Christopher, Jade, Star and his great-grandson, Koda. Jack will also be missed by his nieces, Debbie (Mike) and Donna.
Jack was predeceased by his grandson Jake John DeClercq- Balthazar as well as his brother William DeClercq (Beverly Kelly).

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, November 27, 2022 from 4pm-7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet, NY 12189. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 28, 2022 at 1pm at Saint Matthew’s Church, 25 Mountainview St, Voorheesville, NY 12186. Please meet at the church. Interment will follow Mass at Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont.
